The Professional Development Unit (PDU) of the School of Foreign Languages at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University (IKCU SFL) held a reflective group meeting for lecturers teaching at the Pre-intermediate level on Wednesday, 15 April. During the session, instructors engaged in reflective discussions on their teaching practices, sharing experiences gained throughout the academic term. They evaluated instructional approaches, identified challenges encountered in the classroom, and exchanged strategies developed to address these challenges. Structured reflective activities such as “Think–Pair–Share,” “Rose–Thorn–Bud,” and “Battery Check” were utilized to foster both individual and collaborative reflection. The meeting promoted a culture of continuous professional development by encouraging experience-sharing and critical reflection. It also provided a supportive and collaborative environment that strengthened professional collegiality.
