“Being able to make effective presentations is an important skill you need to obtain especially in your academic life and also in your future career. You need to be able to get others’ full attention while giving your presentation, and to do this you should know some strategies. Come and join us to discuss these strategies together and learn how to use them effectively in this workshop.” With this intro, ILC welcomes its new speaker, Lect. Çiler Akkuşoğlu with her workshop entitled “How to Make Effective Presentations” on 4th November 2022 at 11 am. This workshop is only for Pre-intermediate students because the next task is about “how to make a presentation”

On 1st November 2022 at 3 pm, our new speaker, Mickael Melis will be sharing his experience in photography and European culture with us in ILC.  ALL of our students with All levels can register for this talk. First 15 students (2-3 from different classes) will be sent a registration email as before.  Looking forward to our students’ participation for this engaging talk. Born in Chambery South East of France close to the Alps on the border of Switzerland & Italy. Mickaël has always the dream to take pictures and travel.   He self trained with his first DSLR a Nikon D50 and posting his photos in a forum where people could give their feedback. He started with landscape photography (bridges mainly) then his friends asked him to be their wedding photographer and it is where all begin…   Registration link

We can be from different countries. We can all have different cultures and values, but if we share our culture with other people, we can bring joy and understanding to the world. So, IKCU School of Foreign Languages is kindly asking our International Students from different countries to introduce their culture to their friends and teachers.  For registration please find Lect. Coffee Talk with Merve Bülbül Would you like to travel and learn new languages without spending any money?  Erasmus programme can be an answer to this question and it is not limited to education.  In this talk, we will talk about how you can participate in Erasmus projects, travel, learn and also create a strong CV.  So, let's meet on 7th April 2022 at 13.30 in ILC for this inspiring talk.   Biodata of the speaker: Merve Bülbül is a 3rd year Psychology student at Katip Çelebi University.  She started her university life with a social phobia and now she is the Coordinator of the Social Awareness Community (İKCUTOG). She takes part in the organisation of workshops on cultural cohesion and personal development that will raise awareness in society under the name of Speaking Club and Friday Meetings. When she was in her 2nd year, she worked with disadvantaged groups in Romania for 6 months with the Erasmus+ volunteer program. For more information, she invites you all to our conversation, which will be held on Thursday, April 7, at 13.30.
