On April 8, 2026, IKCU SFL PDU hosted an impactful professional development session featuring Aysu Şimşek Kahya from Oxford University Press (OUP), who provided expert guidance on the strategic use of Teacher Talking Time (TTT). The session focused on the nuances of balancing instructor input with student engagement, offering practical frameworks to minimize unnecessary teacher talk in favor of maximizing student production. This training was exceptionally useful for our faculty, as it equipped educators with the pedagogical tools necessary to foster more communicative, student-centered classrooms, ensuring that every minute of instruction translates into meaningful learning outcomes.
