On 21st January, lecturers of the School of Foreign Languages at İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University participated in a professional development training entitled “More than Output: Creating the Conditions for Speaking & Writing,” delivered by Sinem Atamsoy Koşar from Oxford University Press. The training focused on developing effective classroom conditions that support productive skills, with particular emphasis on speaking and writing. Through practical examples and interactive discussion, lecturers explored strategies to encourage student participation, reduce anxiety, and promote sustained engagement in speaking and writing activities. As the School of Foreign Languages, we look forward to hosting similar initiatives that strengthen teaching practices and enhance learning experiences.
